It was overcast but pleasant Sunday (23rd June) morning when we three families set off to this picturesque location on our respective cars.

Since it was planned to have our lunch , we had packed all the food items that were cooked prior to departure. It was a smooth drive on the highway and on the way we had a brief halt to pick up the relatives of one of the families to accompany us to the picnic

After an hour of leisure driving including the stop over we reached Manoharabad , off from the highway, and headed further inside towards Skikindlapur  through the narrow roads with lush green fields and trees along the way.
Finally we arrived at the Temple, which is 6 kilometers from the Manoharabad railway station.

The Bath Ghat of the temple

Post the Darshan and offering puja to the lord, we parked and settled under the big trees just infront of the temple

Soon everyone was enjoying the deliciously home cooked food in excellent overcast weather with cool breeze blowing across

After the food it was time to relax and unwind

Then it was time to visit the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at the Sikindlapur gutta near by the temple

Having thoroughly enjoyed the day , we had started off contended on the way there was heavy rain which made our journey back home an adventurous.
